Working Forward Together

- Reform the Shared Revenue system in Wisconsin. Our Cities, Counties, Police and Fire, Teachers, Schools and Universities are struggling to keep services from declining and getting and keeping staff with rising costs but stagnant income. This is the result of a 20 year old formula based on a 2% inflation rate, and gives the Republican Controlled Legislators a slush fund of over 3.5 Billion dollars that they have been using and holding hostage from the Cities and Counties who provide our services. The Republicans are now suggesting to “refund” it to the taxpayers. What they won’t say is they have been collecting this money that was intended to provide our services and using a 20 year old formula and keeping the excess.
- Protecting Women’s Healthcare. Wisconsin and Waukesha have come out time and again voting for Women to have autonomy over their own healthcare and decide with their own Doctors and without Government interference. We need to fund and support full Healthcare for all people and women’s Healthcare access should be presumed to be a right. Women’s Health is a Human Right.
- Defend Democracy I believe in a Government where we govern by rule and vote. The January 6th attempt to overthrow a legally democratically approved process and instead attempted violence, intimidation, misinformation and lies to change a legal election motivated me to run for office and step up and defend Democracy. In Wisconsin I was appalled by the attempts to invalidate my and your votes by national and local actors and was glad it failed. I intend to fiercely defend our Wisconsin elections and defend them against whoever tries to take them away.

I am a born and raised in WaukeshaProud. A proud 1978 graduate of Waukesha South High School. I worked 16 years for Waukesha County as an Inpatient Mental Health Psychiatric Technician before retiring 2 years ago to care for my mother who passed away peacefully this past summer. My parents Bill and Peggy Reilly raised 9 children in Waukesha and their and my siblings contributions and accomplishments are too many to list. I am active in City politics and sit on three Boards, most notably as Co-chair of the Public Works Board for the Great City of Waukesha. I have been actively political, Campaign Manager for my brother Mayor Shawn Reilly’s 3 successful mayoral campaigns and I am a proud member of the Democratic Party, but in City and County Politics I have strongly supported people from both parties who put the welfare of Waukesha first. I am committed to the Democratic Party’s platform but I am known as someone who presents my beliefs passionately, but respectfully and actively works with people who hold different political stances. We all want a safe, clean prosperous community that we can proudly pass on to our children and grandchildren. I am happily married, own a home in beautiful Waukesha and have proudly raised children who went through the Waukesha Public Schools. I am happy the redistricting has given The City and Village of Waukesha an opportunity to send someone to Madison that represents our interests. I will be that person if elected.
